| Q: |
The Gases are not displayed according to ANDI nomenclature. |
| A: |
User does not have the proper mode selected. Under the pull down
menu “DEFAULTS” , there is no check mark in front on “ANDI
Gas Schema”. Click this option and restart the program. |
| Q: |
Date and math formats not to local standards. |
| A: |
ANDI-Gap Dive Planner
uses windows Global windows settings; it is not an individual option
within the program. Windows is improperly configured! Go to the control
panel and select “Regional and Language Settings” set
it to the preferred format. |
| Q: |
The program goes directly to the Registration Screen. |
| A: |
The trial period is over, to continue using the program must be
purchased. Uninstalling and reinstalling the program WILL NOT give
a new trial period. |
| Q: |
What is the difference between RGBM and Neo-Haldane (Bühlmann
and DCAP) profiles. |
| A: |
The simplest answer is that Bühlmann and DCAP are a dissolved
gas models while RGBM is a dual phase model. Most traditional tables
are dissolved gas models and tend to have long shallow stops, RGBM
starts decompression deeper to control bubble growth and has much
shorter shallow stops. |
| Q: |
What effect does the LOW and HIGH settings have in the Neo-Haldane
tab. |
| A: |
The low setting sets the initial stop depth, the lower the number
the deeper the first stop. For example a setting of 20% would force
a stop when the diver ascends to a depth where the current controlling
compartment is 20% of the allowable loading limits. The high setting
sets the overall conservatism, the higher the number the LESS conservative
the dive profile is. A setting of 85% for example allows the diver
to surface with 85% tissue loading of the controlling compartment. |
| Q: |
What is a profile? |
| A: |
A saved dive. |
| Q: |
What is a template? |
| A: |
global settings that control the dive with the various user programmable
options. |
| Q: |
I lost all my custom settings after upgrading. |
| A: |
The installer over writes all templates that are part of the original
installation including
default.tpl. The user should make all the modifications and save the
settings twice, once as the default.tpl and the second under a unique
name that can be reloaded and saved as default. |
| Q: |
How do I use one of the standard provided templates? |
| A: |
Under the file menu, choose load template and select the template
that matches the type of diving anticipated. If the user wants this
as the default settings, choose “Edit current template”
under the file menu, then choose “save as” and click on
Default.tpl. |
| Q: |
How do I add entries to the various lists (gases, stops, rates)
? |
| A: |
Go to the setting you wish to add and click on a setting/gas, right
click, you can now add a new setting, delete the highlighted setting
or modify the current setting. |
| Q: |
After editing a template, I click apply and the menu remains. |
| A: |
This is normal since it will still allow you to save the setting.
Saving the settings will exit the menu (if you want them permanent)
or click cancel to exit the settings menu. |
| Q: |
